Well Hello, and welcome to Summer!
Now that school is out, it is time to start answering that all-important question: What are we going to do this summer?
Let me tell you!
Sign up for our Adult Summer Reading Program begins June 3, and our summer programs begin June 12. Every week, we will have programs on Wednesdays and Fridays, except for Monday, June 17, when we will have an Inclusive Reading group at 11:00.
There will be something for everyone, and as always, all programs are free.
Our regular book club will meet on the 3rd Tuesday at 1:00, and the book this time is Finlay Donovan Is Killing It by Elle Cosimano. I have heard a lot of great things about it, and I cannot wait to hear what everyone thinks of this book.
In addition to our regular summer reading and as a part of our Summer Reading Program, we are having a special Six Week Book Club! There will be three books in six weeks, and the book club will meet 6/24, 7/8, and 7/22 at 4pm. The books are:
The Shop on Royal Street by Karen White,
Surviving Savannah by Patti Callahan,
and The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd.
There will be treats and activities with each of these books . I know that’s a lot of reading, but I know we are readers, and I can’t wait!
We also will be having a bingo, a scavenger hunt with our Bobcat mascot, and many other activities for you to enjoy.
There will be prizes and, as always, there will be a grand prize gift basket. If you sign up for summer reading you are entered to win! Simple as that!
