It’s Ms. Shantelle, and guess what? I am getting ready for a reading adventure!
Summer Reading is around the corner. The theme this summer is Adventure Begins at your Library. Registration begins May 31st. To help prepare us for different adventures, Ms. Elizabeth from GYM NATION will be here at 3 pm. Come join in on the fun. This program will last for seven weeks, June 1 through July 19th.
On May 30th, Reese Ledford will be at the library to donate and read her new book, “Daisy and the Bee: A Story of True Friendship”. Please join us for an awesome reading.
As a reminder, we will use BEANSTACK to track our summer reading. Beanstack is a program platform we will use to motivate young readers to read more and to be rewarded for completing different challenges.
Just a little inside scoop, this summer we will have a College Day on June 13th and Career Day on June 27th. Please mark your calendars and join us on these days. You may invite family and friends to join you.
If you are currently enrolled in the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten or would like to sign up, summertime is the perfect time to complete that goal. If you have any questions, please feel free to stop by my desk.
